@Harald Eilertsen That's why I prefer to let other ppl master my stuff. I find it extremely hard to do mastering on my own songs.... much easier to do on other material that is not mine. If you want, you can send it over and I can try to do some "magic" ;)
@harald looking good!
@Frank Aerror Thanks, I'll send it over as soon as I'm done petting the cat.
@TQ 🎹 Thanks! At least I can't complain we don't have good tools anymore. Now it's just the musician to blame :)
@harald yeah, well. You can always say you didn't have enough time! That was my preferred, eh, explanation for years!
@TQ 🎹 Heh, yeah I recognise that argument. Now it's mostly "it's just for fun, I'll leave it like that" :)
@harald so, honestly now: I try pretty hard not to hide behind excuses any more. If something sounds bad, I try to accept it and move on. If I can't do better at the moment, that's okay, maybe I'll learn and do better in the future. It's easier to learn from my mistakes that way.
@TQ 🎹 I see that. For my part, I've been playing in technical thrash/death metal bands all my life, so just leaving some mistakes and slightly off stuff here and there feels sort of like a rebellion against the strive for perfection that has driven the earlier projects I've been in. Not because I'm not able to fix it up, but because I simply can leave it and ignore it.
@harald I like the attitude. Very much.
